Stack On Gun Cabinet
Reviews You Can Use!
Let’s face it, every Stack On gun cabinet is cheap! This doesn’t necessarily mean it is a bad storage option. Instead, it makes it a very popular, inexpensive storage option for those who either do not have the money and/or the inclination to purchase a more expensive gun safe. Stack On cabinets are some of the best selling options on the market today.
Please Note: Stack On also makes an extensive line of gun safes, many of which can be purchased forWELL under $1,000. Some of these safes are even fire proof. If you can afford a little more than $300, make sure you check these out. The safes are not of the same caliber as some of the premium safes reviewed on this sight, but they are a significant step up compared with a bare bones gun cabinet.

Ok, back to the gun cabinets. Since essentially each Stack On gun cabinet has the same features, let’s take a look a few of the common features. At the bottom of the page, I will then do a chart that provides the dimensions and capacity of each gun cabinet.
Baseline Features of Stack On Cabinets
- Key Lock: All cabinets have a key lock.
- Color: You get a choice of black or hunter green. Just a little better
than the color option given by Henry Ford and his Model T. - Pre-Drilled Bolt Holes: Each cabinet can be secured to the
floor OR the wall through pre-drilled bolt holes.
Top Features of Stack-On Gun Cabinets
California DOJ Approved: Each Stack On Gun Cabinet is California DOJ approved. This rating is not a “be all, end all” endorsement, but it does provide at least a minimal comfort that the cabinet can with stand most tampering by a child.
Ammo / Storage Box Option: Each cabinet has predrilled bolt holes on the top which allow you to attach a Stack On ammo box. This is great. You can also put handguns or other smaller valuables in their as well. The “Ready to Assemble” cabinets do not have this option.
Flexible Storage: Each cabinet typically has a variety of internal storage options. If you have a lot of rifles, you can maximize the space to accommodate your collection. If you have fewer rifles and would like additional shelving, there are configurations that can accommodate you. The models called “convertible” offer the best flexibility.
Inexpensive: Look, cheap is cheap. If you only need to consolidate your collection and do not need or cannot afford the maximum security of a gun safe, these are a great option. There really is no point in not buying one. If you can afford a gun, you can afford one of these cabinets.
